Overview

We, Performance Furnishings (North America) Ltd., are expanding our accounting department and we are looking for an Accounting Technician.

Duties:
· Review invoices and attach appropriate back-up documentation to invoices, seeking approval prior to payment
· Clarify any questionable invoice items and/or prices
· Obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments
· Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
· Prepare cheque runs
· Reconciliation of accounts to working paper files
· Preparation of GST Returns
· Other accounting duties as required when you progress
· Maintain the organization of documents using the filing system and making improvements to the process on an ongoing basis
· All other general and administrative tasks that may be required

You Must Be:
· A driven self starter with a strong work ethic
· Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (native / fluent)
· Strong willingness to learn and grow

Qualifications:
· 0-2+ years of related experience
· Post Secondary educated in a related field
· Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable, quick learner
· Possess strong organization and time management skills
· Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Wage: $26.11 – $33.00 per hour (to be negotiated)

Working Location: 1-7898 N Fraser Way, Burnaby, BC V5J 4Z5

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Working hours: 30 – 40 hours per week
