Permanent Position: Live-In Caregiver

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time (Overtime, Weekend if required)

Wage Rate: $23.00 hourly, 40.00 hours per week.

Start Date: As soon as possible .

Education: High school an asset.

Experience: Relevant experience is an asset.

Languages: Basic knowledge of English

Job Duties:

• Assist in physical activity and exercise under supervision to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
• Accompany the person to recreational facilities and parks etc. and provide assistance in other day to day activities.
• Accompany while doctor’s appointments.
• Assisting with personal care, which may include bathroom functions, bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating.
• Following a prescribed healthcare plan, which may include assisting with exercise and administering medication.
• Ensuring home is organized according to the needs and that safety measures are in place. You may also be expected to assist with some light housework.
• Providing emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary tasks.
• Providing mobility assistance may be required, for example helping in and out of bed, a chair, or a wheelchair.
• Transporting or escorting to medical and other appointments.
• Monitoring and reporting changes in health, behavior, and needs.
