POINTS WEST LIVING PEACE RIVER located at 11011-99 Street, Peace River, Alberta T8S 1L7 is accepting applications for the position of HEALTH CARE AIDE – NOC 33102.
$23.57 per hour plus group health benefits, 35 to 40 hours per week, permanent, full-time, shift hours.
Completion of College or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year as Health care aide or Nursing Assistant is required. HCA certified with and active registration in the provincial HCA Directory is required. 7 months to less than 1 year work experience as HCA is required. Ability to communicate in English is required.
Job description: Serve meal trays and feed patients. Deliver messages, reports, requisitions and specimens between departments. Make beds and maintain patient’s room. Transport patients between care facilities. Take patient’s blood pressure, temperature and pulse. Weigh, lift and turn and position patients. Supervise patient’s exercise routines. Bathe, dress and groom patients. Transport patient in wheelchair or stretcher. Answer call signals. Collect specimens. Accompany patients on outside recreational activities and perform other duties related to patient care and comfort.
