Responsibilities:

1. Load and unload goods
2. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
3. Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
4. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
5. Receive and relay information to central dispatch
6. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
7. Perform brake adjustments
8. Pay and receive payments for goods
9. Maintain an accurate electronic logbook
10. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption

Requirements:

1. A clean driving record, as well as sound knowledge of truck maintenance.
2. In-depth knowledge of route planning, using both road maps and GPS devices.
3. The ability to work long, irregular hours, and to remain focused throughout.
4. Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses: Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time 40 to 60 hours / week

Starting date: As soon as possible

Pay: $30.0/hour

Employment conditions: Day, Evening, Shift, Weekend, Night
