SHORT HAUL TRUCK DRIVER

ROVE LOGISTICS LTD is located in Delta BC and is looking to hire a SHORT HAUL TRUCK DRIVER to join its team as soon as possible.

Duties:
-Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks, weighing over 4600 kg
with three or more axles, to transport goods and materials to destinations.
-Oversee all aspects of vehicles, such as condition of equipment, loading
and unloading, and safety and security of cargo
-Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment such as
tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
-Perform emergency roadside repairs.
-Record cargo information, distance travelled, fuel consumption and other
information in logbook or on on-board computer.
-Communicate with dispatcher and other drivers using two-way radio,
cellular telephone, and on-board computer.
-May required to complete forms and legal documentation according to
rules and regulations.
-Other duties as requested by management.

Requirement:
Education: Completion of Secondary School
Experience: Training will be provided but experience in trucking would be an asset.

Certification: Should be eligible for Class 1 Driver’s License.

Language: English

Location: All Over Lower Mainland and Vancouver Area

Salary: $27.00 per hour for 40 hours per week, overtime available after 40 hours per week.
