Education: Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.

Experience: On-the-job training; some experience as a general construction labourer will be an asset.

Work Location: Various locations in Lower Mainland.

Job Duties:

·         Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas;

·         Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites;

·         Assist in demolishing buildings;

·         Assist in drilling and blasting rock at construction sites;

·         Assist in building foundations, formwork, and framing;

·         Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.

·         Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered;

·         Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces;

 

Working Conditions:

·         Work in wet, damp, strong odours, dust, cold environments, outdoors, noisy.

·         Heavy workloads, stand, bend, crouch, and kneel.

·         Repetitive task.

·         Job is physically demanding, ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
