Job Duties:

·       Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, specializing in South Asian cuisine, including traditional curries, tandoori dishes, and rotis

·       Inspect kitchens and food service areas

·       Train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food

·       Order supplies and equipment

·       Supervise kitchen staff and helpers

·       Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment

·       Clean kitchen and work areas

·       Manage kitchen operations

·       Focus on takeout and catering services, with the creation of new dishes

Skills Requirements (Education and Work Experience):

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 5 years or more in a culinary role, with specific skills in cooking South Asian meats, desserts, and vegetarian dishes

Cuisine Specialties: East Indian

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

·       Overtime may be required

·       Standing for extended periods

·       Work under pressure
