Overview

Suika Snack Bar is seeking two Head Cooks for their Vancouver location.

Permanent Full-Time, 6-8 hours per day; 30-40 hours per week; $20.41/per hour plus extended health and dental benefits after 3 months probation period. Bonus available based on sales performance.

Standard shift for this position could be scheduled anytime between 8:00am and 1:00am as required.

Duties:

– Coordinating and overseeing kitchen staff and cooks in managing the preparation of meals;
– Ensuring all meals leaving the kitchen are consistent in presentation and quality;
– Menu/cost/portion planning; creating daily or weekly special menus;
– Assign training duties to various kitchen staff for newly hired employees, and monitor
training progress.

Qualifications:

– Minimum 3 years of previous experience as a professional cook;
– Formal training in culinary arts is an asset;
– Japanese language ability is an asset;
– English language is required.
