Overview

We are looking for an experienced Early Childhood Educator(ECE) Assistant for a Full-time position.

We are a childcare center for children age 9 months to 5 in a brand-new facility in the beautiful Langford, Happy Valley.

Position: Early Childhood Educator(ECE) Assistant
Working Condition: $21.00 hour, 40 hours /week (Full-time, Permanent)
Vacation: 10 days paid vacation OR 4% vacation fee
Available Position: 1
Benefits: Dental and Extended Health Plans (After 3-month probation)

Job Duties:
Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
Prepare snacks and lunch for children
Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children

Requirements

Completion of secondary school is required.
Experience in child care is required.
Completion of an early childhood education assistant certificate program of post-secondary courses in early childhood education may be required.
Licensing by a provincial or territorial association as an early childhood educator may be required.
