Number of Position: 1 vacancy

Hourly Wages: $18.00

Start Date: as soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Permanent

Work Hours: Full time, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week

 

Job Duties:

  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare and cook special meals for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
  • Manage kitchen operations, and clean kitchen and work area
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Set up and oversee buffets
  • Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
  • Hire and train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food

 

Job Requirements:

Education: Completion of Secondary School or equivalent work experience is required

Work Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience as a cook is required

Language of Work: English

 

Primary Location: 1-3690 Shelbourne St Victoria BC V8P 4H2
