Windermere Music Academy offers a large variety of instrument, voice, and dance classes. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and dedicated Piano Teacher to join our music education team at the school located in the southwest side of Edmonton.

Job Title: Piano Teacher (2 vacancies)
Job Type: Permanent, full-time (30-40 hours per week)
Wage: $26.00/hour
Work Location: 318 Windermere Road NW Edmonton, Alberta T6W 2Z8

Job duties include:
-Listen to students’ performance to assess their skills, strengths, and weaknesses.
-Plan and prepare lessons according to the different skill levels and/or ages of students.
-Teach private and group piano lessons, including technique and music theory, to students of all ages and skill levels
-Observe student progress and provide guidance and feedback to help them improve their skills;
-Attend and participate in recitals and other school events
-Maintain accurate records of student progress
-Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration.

Qualifications:
– The successful candidate must have a diploma or degree in Music Education, Music or Music Performance specialized in Piano.
– 1-2 years’ experience in piano teaching.
– Be flexible on schedules and be available to work in the evening and weekend.
– Confident in leading a classroom of students or teach private lessons.
– Strong organizational skills and excellent English communication skills.
