XO Bistro + Bar is a Vietnamese restaurant paying homage to home-style Vietnamese cooking, spotlight family recipes for noodle soups, spring rolls, grilled meat, banh mi, and many other classic dished. We are looking for 2 Kitchen Helpers to join our team located in the Downtown, Edmonton, Alberta.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (40 hours per week)

Salary: $15.50/hour

Language: English

 

Main Duties of the Job:

Prepare, clean and process fruits and vegetables, including peeling when necessary；

Scrub pots and pans to keep them clean and ready for use and assist fellow chefs with various tasks；

Manage kitchen waste disposal and ensure kitchen knives are sharp；

Sanitize items like kitchen counter tops, dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units；

Perform sweeping, mopping, washing, and floor polishing duties；

Take responsibility for storing unpacked food items properly；

Maintain records of food quantities used for inventory purposes；

Participate in preparing, heating, and finishing simple food items as needed.

 

Education Required:

No formal education is required.

 

Relevant Work Experience Required:

On-the-job training will be provided.
