Job Description:

– Position: Cook (NOC 63200)

– Employer: 3335965 Nova Scotia Limited. dba Bi-One Korean BBQ

– Work Location: 1030 Southpark Street, Halifax, NS, B3H 2W3

– Business Location: Same as above

– Wage: $16.50 per hour

– Number of work hours: 30-40 hours per week

– Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

– Benefit: 4% gross salary

– Position Available: 1

 

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

–   Prepare and cook Korean BBQ dishes such as marinated beef, pork, and chicken, along with traditional Korean meals like bibimbap, stews, and side dishes.

–   Ensure quality, taste, authenticity, and presentation of Korean BBQ and other menu items meet customer expectations.

–   Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of all cooking and food preparation areas in compliance with food safety standards.

–   Monitor inventory of ingredients and assist with ordering supplies.

–   Train and guide kitchen helpers in preparing meals, side dishes, and maintaining kitchen operations.

 

Job Requirements:

– Education: Completion of high school is required.

– Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a cook is required OR three-year the apprenticeship program, college, or other programs in cooking.

– Language: English
