Job Summary
Above & Beyond Home Care Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dependable Community Healthcare Aide to provide in-home care and support services to clients in the Okotoks and surrounding area. The successful candidate will assist clients with activities of daily living while promoting dignity, independence, comfort, and safety.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene
Support clients with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation
Assist with feeding and hydration as required
Observe, document, and report changes in clients’ physical, emotional, and mental conditions to supervising staff
Follow individualized care plans and established healthcare procedures
Maintain accurate client records and documentation
Apply infection prevention and control practices
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
Work collaboratively with nurses, family members, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Perform related duties as assigned
Employment Requirements
Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide certificate program or equivalent
CPR and First Aid certification
Clear Police Information Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
Access to a reliable vehicle
Minimum $2,000,000 vehicle liability insurance
Ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist clients
Strong English communication skills (CLB 5 or higher preferred)
Up-to-date immunization record
Assets
1 to 2 years of experience in home care, long-term care, or healthcare settings
Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
Dementia care training
Medication assistance certification, where applicable
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
Fast-paced home care environment
Physically demanding (Bending, lifting, and assisting clients with mobility)
Repetitive tasks
Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
Exposure to infectious diseases, bodily fluids, and other routine healthcare conditions
Shift work, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, may be required
Language
English required
