Overview

Air Plus Hair Salon is now seeking a Master Hairstylist to join our team at Metropolis at Metrotown location. Wage: $36.26 per hour or up to a maximum of 40% commission, whichever is higher.

 

The position is permanent, Full time (40 hours per week) with shifts scheduled between 10AM and 9PM. 4% pay in lieu of paid vacation days.

 

Duties:

–   Regular hairstyling (Shampoo, cut, style, color, blow-dry, etc.).

–   Hairstyling for special occasions such as weddings and formal events.

–   Analyzing hair and scalp conditions before applying products and advising on care methods.

–   Applying professional hair color, bleach, and tints.

–   Train and mentor junior stylists.

–   Oversee assistants’ duties and assign responsibilities.

 

Requirements:

–   Must have completed an apprenticeship or college program in hairstyling.

–   As well as have on the job training OR have 6-8 years of professional experience if no formal hairstyling training or education.

–   Previous experience in formal event hairstyling is an asset.

–   English language ability is required.
