Concrete finisher needed for ALBERTA PRECAST PRODUCTS

1 Vacancy   Location: 25 Commerce Road S, Spruce Grove, AB T7X 0G6

Duties and Responsibilities: As per NOC 73100 – Concrete finisher: Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade, Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement, Operate power vibrators to compact concrete, Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification, Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools, Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures, Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces, Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces, Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures, Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.

Salary: $36.00 / hour for 30-40 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time    Start Date: As soon as possible

Requirements / Skills:                   Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Area of specialization: Construction

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Standing for extended periods, Attention to detail

Work Setting: Commercial, Residential, Various locations
