Job Duties:

·       Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered.

·       Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.

·       Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding.

·       Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings.

·       Prepare and install hardwood floors.

·       Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings.

·       Prepare floors for installations.

·       Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants.

·       Perform direct glue-down carpet installations.

 

Requirements:

Experience in floor covering installation or related construction work is an asset.
Ability to use hand tools and equipment required for flooring installation.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physically capable of performing manual labour tasks and lifting materials.
 

Working Conditions:

• Work in wet, damp, strong odours, dust, cold environments, outdoors, noisy.

• Heavy workloads, stand, bend, crouch, and kneel.

• Repetitive task.

• Job is physically demanding, ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
