Job Title: Early Childhood Educator (Infant/Toddler)

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time

Start Date: ASAP

Number of Openings: 2

Hours of work: 30–40 hours per week

Wage: $32.00 (includes $6 ECE wage enhancement)

Benefit: 4% vacation renumeration, Extended health insurance

*Job Duties*

·         Plan and implement childcare programs that promote infants’ and toddlers’ physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.

·         Lead age-appropriate experiences such as songs, stories, art and sensory play, music, dramatic play, and movement activities to support early learning.

·         Maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing classroom environment that protects children’s security and overall wellbeing.

·         Observe and assess each child’s abilities, interests, and needs, and share progress or any concerns with parents or guardians and the staff team.

·         Guide children through daily routines and support the development of appropriate eating, dressing, and toileting habits in a respectful, age-appropriate manner.

·         Work collaboratively with co-workers and, when applicable, outside service providers involved in supporting children.

 

*Job Requirements*

– Education: Completion of a two- to four-year college program in early childhood education is required

– Experience: Experience is an asset.

– Others

·         Early Childhood Educator License required.

·         Infant Toddler Educator Certificate to Practice required.

·         Criminal record check, immunization records.

·         Reliability, dependability, team player.
