2. Job Description

An extrusion operator in the plastics industry is responsible for setting up and running extrusion machines to produce consistent, high‑quality plastic products. The role includes adjusting machine settings, monitoring temperatures and material flow, and performing routine quality checks to ensure products meet specifications. Operators also troubleshoot minor issues, follow strict safety procedures, and maintain a clean, efficient work area. Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude are essential to success in this position. Béton Brunet Ltée in Prescott is currently looking for candidates for the position of extrusion operator. 3. Primary Responsibilities

– Operate extrusion lines to meet productivity and quality requirements

– Conduct hourly quality checks of your pipes produced

– Fill out all the requested production documentations

– Report to your supervisor for all nonconformities in process and product

– Assisting with set ups and take downs of tooling

– Perform any other related tasks

 

 

4. Required Qualifications

• Previous experience (minimum 16 months) as an extrusion operator or in a related field.

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Basic knowledge in computers

• Must be flexible an adaptable team player

• Be able to perform under pressure

• Must be able to communicate clearly

• Must be able to handle conflicts

• English

 

5. Working Conditions

• Salary: 22,03 $ / hour plus premiums

• Hours per week: 84 hours bi-weekly / 36h to 48 h per week

• Benefits: a complete insurance plan, safety equipment, contribution in your RRSP, and other benefits may also be offered in accordance with the company’s internal policies.

• Vacation in accordance with labor standards
