Overview

A Private home is seeking a Personal Support Worker to care for a senior person.

Duties:

·       Providing care and companionship;

·       Assisting in bathing, personal hygiene, dressing and undressing;

·       Preparing and monitoring meals and snacks based on dietary menu provided by the family, 5 days per week;

·       Performing routine light housekeeping works such as cleaning, laundry, washing dishes, making beds, etc;

·       Administering oral medications and reporting relevant observations to the family;

·       Providing cognitive, social and emotional support;

·       Monitoring blood pressures daily;

·       Doing grocery shopping for the senior when necessary;

·       Accompanying and assisting to medical appointments or social trips.

Qualifications required:

·        Minimum high school graduation.

·        Positive attitude, client focused, reliable, dependable, punctual and with good judgement.

·        Ability to lift a minimum 100 lb weight.

·        Reference required.

Classification:  Full-time，40 hours per week

Salary and benefits:              $26 per hour

5 days of paid vacation
