• Completion of a college program in computer science, computer programming or network administration.
Major Requirements:
• Minimum of two years of experience providing first-line technical support to computer users experiencing difficulties with computer hardware and with computer applications and communications software.
• Minimum of two years of experience in reproducing, diagnosing, and resolving technical problems encountered by users.
• Minimum of two years of experience in the installation and technical support of Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory, Endpoint Management (TS), TCP/IP Protocol, and Ticketing System.
• Minimum of two years of experience in networking — Routers, Firewall, VPN
Detailed Skills and Duties
• Communicate electronically and in person with computer users experiencing difficulties to determine and document problems experienced.
• Consult user guides, technical manuals and other documents to research and implement solutions.
• Provide business systems, network and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties.
• Install, test, maintain and update computer equipment (computers, peripherals, programs and software).
• Check computer hardware (hard drive, mouse, keyboards, etc.) to ensure functionality
• Management of the various security mechanisms.
• Troubleshooting computer hardware, operating systems and software in person, remotely and by phone.
• Report anomalies or breakdowns in the operation of equipment, and provide the solutions required for optimal use.
• Participate in projects for the implementation of new technologies and projects.
• Participate in the diagnosis of breakdowns and make corrections.
• Provide support to internal users on the handling of equipment and software.
• Update of the customer’s and company’s technical documentation.
• Identify computer or network equipment shortages.
