Position Overview:
The Digital Marketing Coordinator will play a vital role in promoting our automotive events and engaging with key stakeholders in the industry. This position involves analyzing product characteristics and market needs, advising on marketing strategies, and developing and executing innovative marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of digital marketing and public relations and be able to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.

Job Descriptions:

·         Evaluate the features of products and services to identify marketing and advertising requirements.

·         Provide tailored marketing and advertising strategies to promote the AutoShow to regional, national, and international audiences.

·         Strategies, direct and digital marketing campaigns.

·         Evaluate campaign performance and provide insights on marketing metrics specific to the automotive industry.

·         Enhance and manage social media channels to engage with automotive enthusiasts and handle customer feedback.

·         Craft public relations initiatives to highlight innovations and initiatives in the automotive sector.

·         Conduct surveys to assess consumer preferences and concerns regarding the Canadian and International automotive market.

·         Oversee the creation of communications materials that highlight product launches, events, and brand stories, with a special focus on German automotive brands

·         Organize media events to showcase new vehicle releases and innovations from various countries, including German automotive brands.

·         Serve as the face of the AutoShow for digital marketing campaigns and social media content.

·         Manage promotional events aimed at both automotive industry professionals and car enthusiasts.

·         Manage and maintain a large email database, from data acquisition to crafting and executing email marketing campaigns.

·         Collaborate with automotive influencers and specialists to promote AutoShow initiatives and support marketing initiatives from global auto manufacturers.

·         Negotiate and coordinate with automotive manufacturers, specifically German brands, to expand the AutoShow and improve the representation of international brands.

·         Supervise AutoShow website redevelopment.

·         Coordinate pre-show and in-show content that will help excite consumers, OEMs, and dealer reps about the content coming to the AutoShow.

·         Travel to automotive events throughout Ontario to coordinate and identify content for the AutoShow socials, email newsletters, and app.

·         Oversee development of the AutoShow’s mobile app “AutoShow+”

·         Coordinate with external social media, public relations, web, and camera teams during the immediate pre- and in-show period to create unified brand messaging.

 

Requirements:

·         A collegial degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

·         2 years of experience in digital marketing within the automotive or vehicle-related industry, with at least one year of experience in industry exhibition marketing.

·         Organized large-scale events with at least 10,000 attendees within the past 2 years or possesses transferable skills relevant to comparable event planning roles.

·         Knowledge regarding the Canadian or European automotive industry is a plus.

·         Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, Microsoft Office, and email marketing software (e.g., Mailchimp).

·         Strong understanding of SEO/SEM strategies and best practices.

·         Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or similar.

·         Proven track record of successful digital campaigns and measurable results

·         Proven experience in social media marketing, including paid advertising strategies and content promotion across platforms.

·         Proficient English communication skills in reading, speaking, writing, and listening.

·         Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

·         Experience in coordinating marketing initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
