Job description:

Program Planning & Coordination (Office-based)

-Plan, organize and schedule recreation and outdoor programs for international and local clients.

-Manage participant registration, collect waivers, and coordinate logistics such as accommodation, meals, transportation, and equipment.

-Prepare program materials, safety guidelines, and activity instructions.

-Liaise with clients, parents, and corporate groups to customize recreation and educational activities.

-Assist participants with required registrations and documentation, such as obtaining park passes, recreational permits, and safety waivers, as part of the overall program preparation.

 

Program Delivery & Instruction (Campsite / Outdoor-based)

-Lead and instruct participants in recreation, sport, and cultural activities including camping, hiking, cycling, ATV riding, BBQ, outdoor games, woodworking, tree climbing, and survival training.

-Provide educational programs for children and youth on hunting knowledge, outdoor survival, and teamwork.

-Organize and supervise team-building activities, family programs, and cultural exchange events at the campsite.

-Ensure participant safety during all activities, including monitoring compliance with safety procedures and responding to emergencies when required.

 

Facility & Equipment Management

-Oversee the preparation and maintenance of campsite facilities, program areas, and recreational equipment.

-Coordinate the setup of activity sites, tools (e.g., woodworking equipment), and safety gear.

 

Community & Cultural Engagement

-Occasionally accompany participants on local excursions (e.g., Banff, Jasper, Calgary Stampede) as part of the overall recreation program experience.

-Promote cross-cultural learning and positive interaction among participants.

 

Monitoring & Reporting

-Track participant progress and feedback, prepare program evaluation reports, and recommend improvements.

-Supervise volunteers or support staff assisting in program delivery.

 

Relevant work experience as asset.

Education not needed. High School and above preferred.

Language at Work: English

Hours of Work: 30-44 hours / week; 6-8 hours / day

Wage: 25.00 per hour (overtime pay 1.5 times)

Benefit: 4% vacation pay
