Wage rate: $36.60 per hour for 40 hours per week

Education: Secondary School Education Certificate

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Job Duties:

-Apply multiple layers of compound and sand the seams and joints
-Cut and install metal corner beads to protect the outside corners
-Build and install metal ceiling grids, then add panels to create acoustic or coffered ceilings
-Fill in holes, cracks, and dents with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
-Measure, cut, and fit drywall sheets
-Attach the sheets to metal or wood studs or joists
-Smooth out extra compound and let it dry
-Tape over the joints with a taping machine and press the tape into the compound
-Estimate the cost of materials needed
