Job Details

•       Location: 51 Colorado Drive, Campbell River, BC V9H 1N1 (on site; service area includes Campbell River, Courtenay & the Comox Valley)

•       Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

•       Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week

•       Wage: $39 to $40 per hour (based on experience)

Position

•       Job Title: Landscaper

•       Department: Landscape Maintenance

•       Reporting to: Operation Manager

Job Duties

•       Manage landscaping projects and plan and co-ordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental and other purposes

•       Trim trees to achieve the desired pruning objective (crown cleaning, thinning, raising, reduction, restoration, espalier, vista pruning)

•       Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease; assess the health of lawns

•       Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides and other lawn care products; apply treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting treatment solutions

•       Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens; plant and move trees; tree removal

•       Water and tend to plants, lawns and gardens; tie and secure plants

•       Rake and collect refuse; cut grass

•       Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment

Job Requirements

•       1-2 years relevant landscaping experience

•       English language proficiency (oral and written)

•       No degree, certification or diploma required
