Daizen Joinery Ltd. is seeking a construction painters supervisor to join us.

 

Permanent, Full-time; $37.50 per hour; 30-40 hours per week (plus extended health and dental benefits after completion of 3 months probation period) and bonus available based on performance.

 

Duties:

·      Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of painters involved in residential and commercial projects;

·      Establish efficient work methods to meet project timelines and coordinate painting activities with other team members;

·      Inspect work to ensure quality standards are met and resolve any on-site issues, recommending improvements to productivity and workmanship;

·      Requisition and manage materials, supplies, and equipment required for painting operations;

·      Train workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies to maintain a safe and productive work environment;

·      Recommend personnel actions, including hiring, promotion, and disciplinary measures;

·      Prepare and maintain work progress reports;

·      Supervise, coordinate, and provide guidance to apprentices, helpers, and labourers;

·      Perform hands-on painting tasks as required.

 

Requirements:

·      Completion of secondary school is usually required;

·      3+ years of experience in the trade or in the work area supervised are usually required;

·      English language ability is required.
