Wage: $33.33 per hour, 40 – 44 hours per week

Positions Available:   2 vacancies

Tasks / Job Description:  Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade; Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement; Operate power vibrators to compact concrete; Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification; Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools; Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures; Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces; Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces;  Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures; Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications; May work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages

Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma

Experience: At least 3 years of concrete finishing experience

Languages:  English

Transportation/travel information: Valid driver’s license

Work Setting & Work site environment: Noisy, Outdoors

Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, Team player

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:   Handling heavy loads, physically demanding, Attention to detail
