Overview

Job Duties:

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods according to Edo Japan recipes and standards.
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring safe handling practices.
Inspect kitchens and food service areas for cleanliness and compliance with health regulations.
Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
Order supplies and equipment as needed.
Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient operations.
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain hygiene standards.
Manage kitchen operations during shifts, including coordinating meal preparation on the grill (proteins, vegetables, and noodles).

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time (30-40 hours per week). Shifts may include days, evenings, and weekends.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Team player with excellent communication abilities.
Reliability and flexibility with scheduling.
Basic knowledge of food safety and handling (training provided if needed).

Experience: 1 to less than 7 months

Education Requirements: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.

Certificate: Safe Food Handling Certificate

Work Settings: Fast-casual restaurant specializing in Japanese cuisine.

Location of Work: 4735 Gordon Rd Bldg 33, Regina, SK S4W 0B7

Wage: $16.00 to $17.00 hourly (to be negotiated based on experience).
