Job title-  In-home caregiver.

Terms of employment- This job is for a full-time position (between 32 and 40 hours per week). Flexible / Split shift work schedule is required.  Weekend work is required. Start date is September 1, 2024

Language required- French or English. Spanish would be an asset.

Salary- Wage offered is determined by the CLSC which is currently between $17.00-$20.00 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made as the law changes in the future.

Location-   EdES lives in the city of Beloeil, in Quebec. The home is situated in a residential and rural neighbourhood, school and parks are nearby. The city bus is easily accessible and is close by (bus # 300 then 27). The major intersection is HIGHWAY 20 + rue Richelieu.

Duties may include:

1- This job is to help with the care of three adults and one elderly person (the ward). All 4 people have disabilities

2- Supervision of ward

3- Help with activities of daily living, accompany on outings to provide amusement and exercise

4- Accompany to doctors appointments,

5- Instruct ward in personal hygiene

6- Plan, prepare and serve meals for all. Kitchen clean-up is also required

7- General housework that will include doing laundry

8- Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment

 

Qualifications:

1- Canadian high school equivalent education is required.

2- Must have some work-related experience as a caregiver.

3- Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision.
