Four Seasons Sunrooms & Windows is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join the team.
Position: Carpenter
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time
Wage: $39.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Number of vacancies: 1
Location: Port Coquitlam, BC
Duties:
– Demonstrate skill in the safe operation of hand and power tools used for on-site installation, including circular saws, drills, levels, caulking guns, and fastening equipment
– Prepare for work projects by performing operational and safety risk assessments, arranging work schedules with user departments and assembling supplies, tools and equipment
– Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
– Assemble and install prefabricated sunroom, pergola, patio cover, and glass wall components on-site according to blueprints and manufacturer specifications
– Fit and align structural framing, glazing, doors, and windows to ensure proper weatherproofing and seal integrity
– Inspect and replace damaged framework and structures, as neededInstall fixtures such as doors and moldings, as needed
– Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures and ensure that they are respected by all personnel and subcontractors
– Strive to continually improve through specific development plans
– Accept direction from the Lead Carpenter
– Coach and assist Carpenter Apprentices with all job tasks
– Practice good housekeeping discipline on the job to ensure a safe, non-cluttered workplace and to minimize cross contamination
Qualifications:
– Secondary school completion is required
– College Diploma or certification in a recognized construction/carpentry course preferred
– A minimum of 3 years of experience in carpentry is required
– May be required to travel to job sites throughout the Lower Mainland
– Valid driver’s licence is required
– English language ability is required
