Goodbye Graffiti Vancouver is looking for a full-time position for one Painter and Decorator to assist in running a growing firm and could join immediately.
Location: 206-950 Powell Street, Vancouver, BC V6A 1H9
Positions Available: 1
Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible.
Compensation: $36.60 per hour
Work hours: 30 hours/week
Terms: Permanent Full-Time

Job duties and Responsibilities:
-Secure the painting area from any damage by laying drop sheets, and plastic sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering and
-Analyze specifications to determine necessary material quantities.
-Applying masking tape around the windows and glass. Secure all the openings and spaces between the doors to avoid dust coming and going out.
-Preparing the site for painting by cleaning, sanding, and removing the old paint and wallpapers where required.
-Offer advice to customers on color schemes and wall covering choices.
-Repair the cracks and holes by using fillers, putty, and adhesives on walls and woodwork.
-Smoothing the surfaces and ensuring the area and surfaces are dust-free.
-Select and prepare the paint by mixing colors, pigments, oil, thinner, and other drying agents.
-Apply paint and varnishes to decorate by using different brushes, and rollers and help in spraying paint.
-Applying all kinds of paints like acrylic, oil-based paints, weather shield paint, water-based and glossy paints.
-Final finishing and touch-ups before handing over the site.
-To maintain the site in compliance with occupational health and safety.
Skills and Education:
1 year to less than 2 years
Completion of Secondary School
