Overview

Job Duties:
• Assist with building walls, ceilings and roofing systems on commercial and residential buildings.
• Cut, shape and place studs in lightweight steel and other materials.
• Use measuring tools to prepare layouts in conformance to building codes.
• Read and interpret drawings and blueprints to determine building specifications.
• Assist with cleaning and site maintenance during and after construction projects.
• Assist with coordinating work on site.
• May assist in estimating costs and materials for projects.
• May perform ancillary duties at constructions sites, as required.

Employment Requirements:
• Three to five years of experience as a steel stud framer.
• Physically demanding position requiring various levels of manual dexterity.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch and kneel for extended periods of time.
• Willingness to learn and the ability to follow instructions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to attend multiple work locations across the capital regional district of British Columbia.
• English language ability.
• Completion of secondary school.

Job Details:
• $32.00 per hour
• Permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week).
• Extended healthcare benefits after 1 year of continuous employment.

• Work Location: Various worksites across the capital regional district of British Columbia.
