Position Detail

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent

Hourly Wage: $15.00

Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week

Duties and Responsibilities

-Support the chefs in preparing ingredients for cooking, such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces, ensuring that all items are ready for cooking.

-Keep the kitchen area clean and organized throughout the shift by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, sweeping floors, and disposing of waste properly, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.

-Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained and that items are properly stored to prevent spoilage or contamination.

-Work alongside kitchen staff during peak hours to ensure smooth workflow, including assisting in food assembly, plating dishes, and coordinating with servers to fulfill orders efficiently.

-Operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly, ensuring that all items are washed, rinsed, and sanitized according to established procedures.

-Keep an eye on food quality and freshness throughout the shift, discarding any items that do not meet standards and notifying kitchen supervisors of any concerns.

-Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures, as well as personal hygiene practices, to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
