Hello Nori is a Japanese restaurant group known for its fresh hand rolls and sushi, with locations across British Columbia and Ontario.
We are seeking one (1) experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team.
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time
Wage: $70,000 per year
Hours: 35 hours per week

Duties:
· Oversee daily operations at every Hello Nori location, from staffing levels to guest flow, stepping in wherever a location needs support
· Set the bar for food quality, plating, and service, and check regularly that each location is hitting it consistently
· Hire kitchen and front-of-house staff and make sure new hires are properly trained before they’re on their own
· Build staff schedules across locations and coach team members whose performance is falling short
· Keep a close eye on food and inventory costs, adjusting portions, pricing, or ordering when margins slip
· Work directly with suppliers to secure good pricing and reliable delivery on food, beverage, and kitchen equipment
· Step in on customer complaints that front-line staff can’t resolve, and confirm each location is following health, safety, and food-handling rules
· Refresh and standardize recipes and menu items so the experience is consistent no matter which location a guest visits
· Handle client negotiations for catering jobs, private events, and banquet bookings
· Keep ownership informed on how each location is performing, where staffing gaps exist, and where costs need attention
Requirements
· Completion of secondary school is required
· A minimum of 2 years of experience in a restaurant management or senior supervisory role, ideally including experience overseeing multiple locations or high-volume operations, is required.
· Prior supervisory experience is an asset
· Red Seal Cook certification is an asset
· FOODSAFE Level 1 (or equivalent) is an asset
· English language ability is required
