Overview

Kitanoya Marketing Corp. is seeking 3 Restaurant Managers for all their Guu restaurants in Vancouver, BC.

 

Permanent, Full-time; $36.60 per hour; 30-40 hours per week. Bonus available based on sales performance.

 

Standard 6-8 hour shift could be schedule anytime between 10am and 1am as required.

 

Shifts may be scheduled at the following five locations:

 

1. Guu Davie, 1239 Davie St., Vancouver, BC

2. Guu Toramasa, 757 Seymour St., Vancouver, BC

3. Guu with Otokomae, #105 – 375 Water St., Vancouver, BC

4. Guu with Garlic, 1698 Robson St., Vancouver, BC

5. Guu Thurlow, 838 Thurlow St., Vancouver, BC

 

Duties:

·      Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the daily operations of the restaurant;

·      Establish menu and services to be offered and implement operational procedures accordingly;

·      Balance cash and complete balance sheets cash reports and related forms;

·      Supervise employees and conduct performance reviews;

·      Organize and maintain inventory;

·      Ensure health and safety regulations are followed;

·      Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies;

·      Participate in marketing plans and implementation;

·      Address customer complaints or concerns;

·      Provide customer service as needed;

·      Prepare Japanese food items (everything on the menu);

·      Ensure all meals leaving the kitchen are consistent in presentation and quality.

 

Qualifications:

·      Secondary school completion required;

·      Minimum 3-5 years of previous food service industry experience is required;

·      Minimum 2 years of previous restaurant management or supervisory experience is required;

·      English language ability required;

·       Japanese language ability is an asset.
