Overview
Job Duties
• Prepare and cook food items.
• Ensure that all dishes and recipes are made to standard.
• Help oversee kitchen operations and food service areas.
• Assist in the supervision and training of kitchen staff.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Monitor stock levels and maintain detailed records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• May assist in menu planning.
Employment Requirements
• At least 3 years of recent experience working as a cook in a restaurant.
• Experience preparing Japanese cuisine considered an asset.
• Ability to work efficiently, multi-task, and perform well under pressure.
• Good communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Scheduling flexibility, including the ability to work day, evening, holiday, and weekend shifts.
Job Details
• $22 per hour.
• One staff meal per shift.
• Ability to receive bonus at end of year.
• Full-time (at least 30 hours per week).
• Physically demanding.
• Standing for extended periods of time.
