MCool Pro Builders Ltd in Nanaimo, BC is looking for a Full-time position for Carpenter Helper  to assist in running our growing firm and could join immediately.

Location: 337 View St. Nanaimo, BC V9R 4N8

Positions Available: 1 (One)

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible.

Compensation: $31.00 per hour

Work hours: 30 hours/week

Terms: Full-Time

Language of Work: English

Job duties and Responsibilities:

Assist carpenters by carrying, loading, and unloading construction materials, tools, and equipment at job sites
Prepare work areas by setting up tools, materials, and safety barriers before construction activities begin
Hold, position, and secure materials during framing, formwork, and installation under supervision
Measure, cut, and prepare wood and other materials as directed by the carpenter
Assist in the installation of wooden structures, frames, doors, windows, cabinets, and flooring
Operate basic hand and power tools such as hammers, drills, saws, nail guns, and levels
Mix, pour, and spread construction materials such as concrete, adhesives, and sealants
Clean and maintain job sites, remove debris, and dispose of waste materials safely
Erect and dismantle temporary structures, scaffolding, and barricades
Perform routine equipment cleaning and maintenance
Follow occupational health and safety regulations and company safety policies at all times
Perform other general construction labour duties as required to support carpentry operations

Skill Requirements:

Education : Secondary School is required.

Experience : 1 year to less than 2 years
