Located at 35 Calder Pl., St. Albert in Alberta. We are a custom manufacturer of extruded plastic & thermoformable sheets. We offer a variety of products, ensuring the highest quality at competitive prices. Due to the nature of our business we are in need of a Safety supervisor – occupational health and safety to help keep our environment and workers safe.
Requirements as per below:
Tasks & Duties
• Assign projects to subordinates and staff related to work safety, environmental safety, and accident prevention.
• Lead and Participate in the investigations of safety incidents, accidents and reported concerns.
• Ensure timely and routine inspections to ensure equipment, materials and production safety.
• Execute or assign for routine audits and reports of safety incidents, accidents or concerns.
• Review HR directives to assure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
• Inspect workplace areas routinely for safety or health hazards
• Train and coach staff on general and area-specific safety standards, practices and regulations
• Develop and implement health and safety programs, including standard operating procedures, policies and training to mitigate risk, optimize worker’s health and safety and foster a positive occupational health and safety culture
• Initiate enforcement procedures on workplaces contravening organization and government health and safety standards and regulations
• Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury
• Effectively communicate, with decision-makers and workers to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and regulations.
Must have experience supervising between 5-10 people
