Overview

Pacific Coast Distribution Ltd. is seeking two Heavy-duty Equipment Mechanics (NOC 72401) to join their team at their Langley Warehouse.

 

Permanent, Full-time; 40 hours/week. $43.50 per hour. Extended medical, extended dental, long-term disability and life insurance, and a 2% RRSP matching program available for all employees after 3 months’ probation period.

 

Duties:

·      Utilize computerized and various testing equipment to identify faults or malfunctions, assessing the scope of necessary repairs;

·      Make adjustments to equipment and replace or repair faulty parts, components, or systems, employing both manual and power tools;

·      Conduct tests on repaired equipment to confirm proper functionality and adherence to manufacturer specifications;

·      Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and other necessary upkeep on equipment.

·      Service parts and components of commercial trailers, trailer temperature control devices and any other components required

·      Possibly engage in repair tasks of other related commercial equipment such as snow plows, forklifts, earth movers.

 

Requirements:

·      Completion of a three- to five-year apprenticeship program or a combination of over four years of work experience and industry courses in heavy equipment repair;

·      Minimum 2 years of heavy-duty mechanic experience;

·      English language is required.
