ABOUT THE ROLE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Panorama Village Animal Hospital is a veterinary clinic in Surrey, BC seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team. You will work closely with our veterinarians providing hands-on care for small animal patients — from surgical support and treatment administration to client education and rehabilitation therapy.

RESPONSIBILITIES
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

– Handle, restrain, and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery
– Assist the veterinarian before, during, and after surgical procedures
– Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under veterinary direction
– Perform routine dental procedures and assist with animal dentistry
– Provide nursing care, wound/bandage care, and rehabilitation therapy
– Counsel clients on animal health care and aftercare
– Support clinic operations with occasional administrative duties

REQUIREMENTS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Education:
– Degree in veterinary medicine or related discipline

Certification (required):
– Registration as a Registered Animal Health Technologist or Registered Veterinary Technician with a provincial/territorial association

Experience:
– 1 to 2 years of experience in veterinary or animal health care
– Experience with small animals

Skills & Attributes:
– Strong oral and written communication skills
– Attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination
– Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
– Physically capable of handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods
– Team player with good judgment and initiative
– Basic security clearance required
