Overview

Key Duties:

Prepare patients for dental examinations and procedures
Perform administrative and clerical duties related to the dental laboratory
Prepare dental instruments, materials, and filling compounds
Maintain inventory and order dental and clinical supplies as needed
Clean, sterilize, and properly maintain dental instruments and equipment
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Polish teeth and clinical crowns; apply fluoride and dental sealants
Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments
Take and develop dental X-rays in accordance with safety protocols
Accurately record dental procedures and patient treatment information
Prepare invoices and process billing for dental services
Fabricate and place temporary crowns and restorative materials

Job details:

Employment type: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: $30.00 per hour, 30–40 hours per week

Requirements:

Must be registered or eligible to register as a level 2 RDA under the College of Alberta Dental Assistants (CADA)

Graduate from a dental assisting program

Available for Saturdays and occasional on call

Must be proficient in dental English

1 month to less than 7 months of relevant experience

Work Setting:

This position is on-site. All duties must be performed at the physical workplace. Remote work is not available.
