PASTA PANTRY is a casual eat-in or take out restaurant for 32 years and a catering company located in Sherwood Park, Alberta. The Owner is hiring an Operations Manager to oversee their restaurant and catering and store of homemade pasta and other Italian food.
$36.00 per hour plus medical and dental benefits, gratuities and bonus, 40 hours per week, permanent, full-time.
Applicant must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management with 3 to 5 years of work experience in the restaurant industry. Applicant must be able to communicate in English well. Must have one or two of the following credentials: Food and beverage server trade certification, Bartender certification, Safe food handling certificate and Food safety certificate.
Job description:
Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits
Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies
Evaluate daily operations
Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget
Monitor staff performance
Plan and organize daily operations
Set staff work schedules
Supervise staff
Train staff
Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
Cost products and services
Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
Organize and maintain inventory
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities
Participate in marketing plans and implementation
Leading/instructing individuals
Address customers’ complaints or concerns
Provide customer service
Manage events
Must be able to supervise 5 to 10 people.
