Pebbles & Piaget Early Learning offers innovative curriculum-based pre-kindergarten programs in Vancouver and Langley. Based on the research of internationally renowned child psychologist Jean Piaget, Pebbles & Piaget offers a nurturing, supportive environment that fosters the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of children between 10 months and 5 years.

Position: Early Childhood Educator – IT

Working Condition: $23.5/hour, 40 hours/week (Full-time, Permanent)

Work Location: 9451 202 Street, Langley Township, BC V1M 4B5 (on-site)

Vacation: 4% vacation fee

Benefits: Extended Health and Dental Benefits (After 3 months full time work)

+Qualifications needed:

– Valid Infant/Toddler Educator and ECE License to practice in British Columbia

– Valid First Aid Certificate

– Clear Criminal Records Check and 3 Letters of Reference

– Minimum 2 years of Childcare experience in a licensed childcare facility

– Statement from a medical practitioner indicating adequate physical and psychological capability to work with children and carry out assigned duties

– College Diploma related to child growth/development or Child Care is required

– Must share our passion in early learning

– Able to work collaboratively with the team and provide a positive co-teaching environment

– Need to be organized, attention to details and have excellent communication skills

– Supervision: 3 to 4 children

– Language: English

+Job Duties:

– Implement planned and age appropriate educational activities

– Ensure the health, safety and emotional wellbeing of the children

– Maintain knowledge of infant and toddler childcare licensing regulations and ensure compliance in daily routines

– Provide excellent supervision and interaction with children at all times

– Maintain daycare equipment and ensure the learning environment is clean and organized

– Attend staff meetings to discuss children’s progress and concerns

– Monitor children during indoor and outdoor activities and interact with the children to enhance their learning

– Communicate effectively with parents, co-workers and other staff members

– Promote feelings of security and trust in children

– Observe and record children’s growth, behavior, and development, and discuss these with parents and staff

– Bath, diaper and feed infants and toddlers or guide children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits

– Maintain a positive and calm attitude towards children, parents and volunteers

– Assist ECE or other staff members in carrying out programs that support children’s development

– Perform other related duties as required
