Salary: $23.23 to $24.23 hourly (To be negotiated)

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years working in food manufacturing
Work Setting:
Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment
Food processing plant.
Work Site Environment: Noisy, cold/refrigerated, wet/damp
RESPONSIBILITIES
Tasks
Operate machinery to process and bag, box or otherwise package food products.
Record production information.
Retrieve production materials from the cooler and bringing them to production line
Peeling product and loading the slicer.
Maintain slicer blades by sharpening and switching out blades as required.
Clean machines and immediate work areas.
Ensure equipment set up for the different products, by safely assembling and/or disassembling the slicer machine.
Set up and adjust processing and packaging machines.
Inform supervisor of mechanical malfunctions or product irregularities.
Check products for defects and ensure conformance to company standards.
Work in a safe manner in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act by reporting all hazards, accidents, incidents or near misses to the Supervisor.
Responsible for maintaining food safety standards in work responsibilities and report food safety issues to QA.
