$36.00 per hour plus group health insurance (Dental, Disability benefits, Health care plan, Vision care) Long term care insurance, Paid time off for volunteering, Wellness program, Financial benefit as per collective agreement, 40 hours per week, permanent, full-time, day, evening, night, weekend shifts.
Completion of College diploma in License Practical nurse is required plus CPR certification. Must be licensed as LPN in the province of Alberta to qualify to work. 1 to 2 years of work experience as a Nurse is required. Area of specialization in Geriatrics and Palliative Care is an asset. Ability to communicate in English is required
Job description: Administer medication and observe and document therapeutic effects. Take vital signs, apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing, ensure infection control, monitor nutritional intake and conduct specimen collection. Monitor respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy. Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families. Provide nursing services within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures. Monitor patient’s progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team.
