Application support analyst (Learning Technology Support Specialist) needed for Portage College

Duties and Responsibilities: As per NOC 22221 APPLICATION SUPPORT ANALYST (LEARNING TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT SPECIALIST):

Respond to users experiencing difficulties with computer
Consult user guides, technical manuals and other documents to research and implement solutions
Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties
Collect, organize and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts
Participate in the redesign of applications and other software
Provide business systems, network and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties
Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software
Provide customer service
Manage incidents
Experience and specialization

Computer and technology knowledge: Android, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), iOS, Internet, Desktop applications, Multimedia software, Presentation software, Communication software, Web service design, Mac OS, MS Office, MS Windows, Wireless networks, Information technology

Salary: $4,029 to $5,225 monthly (To be negotiated) / 36.25 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time    Start Date: As soon as possible

Requirements / Skills:                   Languages: English

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Workplace information:  Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work setting: Public sector, Post-secondary educational institution, E-learning (online learning)
