Overview

This position is responsible to oversee all operations involved with the production of laminated wood and eco-column posts as well as assembly of all associated materials at our Lacombe Shop/Warehouse.
These materials are utilized in the construction of the Post Frame projects our business builds.
You will oversee the construction of these materials in our post manufacturing shop while coordinating with our Project Manager
This role is pivotal in helping make sure our crews in the field can work efficiently to achieve timelines and exceed our customer expectations

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage the construction of wood and eco column posts.
• Coordinate and oversee the receiving of all incoming material shipments related to post-production.
• Inspect received goods for quality and accuracy.
• Develop and update workflow processes in accordance with our quality management system to ensure best practices are being applied company wide.
• Manage inventory levels and storage locations in the post-production shop and yard. Utilize computer software for tracking and updating the flow of posts and related materials.
• Perform weekly, monthly inventory counts for material ordering as needed and communicate with Project Manager.
• Assemble outgoing post material packages and have ready for shipping dates as needed.
• Work with Drilling Supervisors and the trucking/delivery team to coordinate outgoing post material packages.
• Oversee the organization, housekeeping and upkeep of the post material yard, post shop and post out buildings.
• Operate lifting equipment to move and store materials.
• Assist with daily yard and shop duties such as construction projects, building improvements, etc.

Experience and Skills

• Previous experience in construction and manufacturing roles.
• Strong use and understanding of English.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Attention to detail – Ensuring shipments are on time, accurate and complete.
• The ability to adapt to new processes, policies and environments with a positive attitude and energy.
• Flexible mindset – expect urgency and priorities to change at any moment based on customer and jobsite requirements.
