As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team and contribute to the success of residential and commercial renovation projects.
Job Responsibilities
Analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates for renovation and construction projects.
Estimate quantities and costs of materials, labor, and equipment.
Review and interpret project plans to ensure accuracy in estimates and budgets.
Prepare and submit tenders, budgets, and cost breakdowns for clients and management.
Collaborate with designers, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure estimates reflect realistic project timelines and costs.
Update estimates and budgets as project requirements change.
Maintain cost databases and records of historical project costs.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 yearsof experience as a Construction Estimator in residential or commercial renovation.
Post-secondary education in any Construction field is an asset.
Strong knowledge of building materials, renovation methods, and BC building codes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software, cad, Cabinet vision. Chief architect is an asset.
Excellent math, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
