Queensdale Market is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to join the team.

Position: Assistant Manager (Permanent)
Employer: Queensdale Supermarket Ltd
Working Address: 3030 Lonsdale Avenue, North Vancouver, British Columbia, V7N 3J5
Wage: $44.75/hr (Overtime pay to be paid at 1.5 regular wage after 8 hrs per day and/or after 40 hrs per week.)
Working Hours: 30-40 hours/wk (full-time)
Benefits: 4% vacation fee or 10 days paid vacation

Job Duties:
• Assist and oversee and coordinate daily operations, ensuring efficiency and smooth workflow of retail establishment
• Resolve operational issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages, in a timely manner and evaluate and improve customer service
• Assign duties and monitor team performance, including conducting performance reviews
• Assist with staffing needs, including scheduling, hiring, training, and supervising staff
• Assist with marketing strategies and consumer demand and potential sales volumes
• Supervise both operational and administrative functions

Qualification:
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Completion of a university degree or college diploma in business administration or other field related to the product or service being sold is an asset.
• Several years of related retail or wholesale sales experience at increasing levels of responsibility, including supervisory experience, are required.
• Ability to communicate in English is required.
