Overview
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and energetic Home Child Care Provider to work in our private home and care for our children. The primary duties are to supervise and care for the children in the employer’s residence, establish a safe environment, and manage the household’s child-related activities.

Children’s Ages: 6, 7 and 10 years old
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents.
- Supervise and care for children in the employer’s residence.
- Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
- Take children to and from school and to appointments.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialization, and development.
- Help children with homework.
- Administer medication, as required (under parental direction).
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
- Tend to the emotional well-being of the children.
- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to the children’s care, including laundry and tidying play areas.
Terms of Employment:
Wages: $23 per hour
Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
Schedule: Morning, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours or as arranged
Terms: Permanent, full-time employment
Requirements:
- Education: Secondary school completion (or equivalent).
- Experience: At least six months of paid experience in child care or a related field (or six months of full-time training in a related field).
- Certifications: An NC II certification, HCA certification, CPR and First Aid Certificate, Food Safety Certificate or equivalent certification are highly advantageous.
- Personal Qualities: Compassionate, patient, reliable, responsible, organized, and attentive demeanor.
- Language: Must be proficient in English (Tagalog is an advantage).
- Security: Successful completion of a vulnerable sector check is mandatory.
- Eligibility: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
